2018 High School All-Region Teams

MAX Field Hockey is excited to announce the 2018 High School All-Region Teams. Selections were the most difficult they have ever been this year because we are so much more knowledgeable of all the talent across the country! We spent almost two months doing extensive research into state and conference performance and postseason honors, reaching out to coaches and individuals connected to the different areas to get to our final lists. We are now ready with our top 310 picks. We have recognized the top 50 players for each of the six regions- 25 first team, 25 second team. For the Pennsylvania Region, we have added 10 extra spots to accommodate for the incredible amount of talent in that region.

A couple of notes about our selections– Nominations were accepted and considered, but not required for a player to be selected. Our All-Region awards are directly related to High School performance. While we may factor in some of our knowledge of club, USA Field Hockey participation and our Player Rankings, we really try our best to make these about performance for this 2018 High School season. Some of our final decisions left out some very strong players who have been a part of high up USA Field Hockey camps, amongst our top player rankings, and who are committed to Top 20 schools. In combing through our lists, we had to make some tough decisions and pick out the players who stood out the most this Fall season and unfortunately, we had to leave out some very deserving players.

We attempt to stick to the percentage of programs per state for these awards. So if 50% of the programs in a region were from state A, we tried to award close to 50% of the All-Region spots to players from state A.
