Following one of the craziest weeks of the 2016 High School field hockey season yet, we saw a handful of ranked match-ups as many areas begin their post-season play.  Here are a few of the highlights:

  • Villa Maria Academy (PA) defeated Unionville (PA) 4-3 OT
  • First Colonial High School (VA) defeated Norfolk Academy (VA) 3-2
  • Lakeland High School (NY) suffered its second tie in back-to-back weeks- last week to Darien (CT), this week to Mamaroneck (NY)
  • 32 regionally ranked squads hold onto their unbeaten streaks
  • 6 new teams join the rankings (St Paul’s School (NH), Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School (MA), Manchester Central High School (NH), Moses Brown School (RI), Garrison Forest School (MD), and Kinkaid School (TX))
