Week 03 / The story

This week’s
national picture.

The Agnes Irwin School (Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania) is the new #1 team in the nation after an incredible, statement-making stretch. The Owls vaulted to the top spot from #3 on the strength of a perfect 12-0 record, highlighted by a dominant 5-2 victory over former #1 Academy of Notre Dame de Namur (Villanova, Pennsylvania) and a thrilling 6-5 overtime road win against powerhouse Oak Knoll School (Summit, New Jersey). By taking down two of the country's most formidable programs back-to-back, Agnes Irwin has firmly established itself as the team to beat.
As a result of the shuffle at the top, Academy of Notre Dame de Namur slides to #2, closely followed by undefeated Emmaus High School (Emmaus, Pennsylvania) at #3. Meanwhile, West Essex High School (Caldwell, New Jersey) made a significant leap into the top five, climbing from #7 to #4 after picking up its own overtime signature win against Oak Knoll. Despite the setbacks to elite competition, Oak Knoll holds strong at #5, anchoring a highly competitive top tier as the regular season enters its final stretch.
