Week 04 / The story

This week’s
national picture.

The Agnes Irwin School (Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania) and Academy of Notre Dame de Namur (Villanova, Pennsylvania) continue to lead the national rankings as the regular season reaches its final week. With undefeated programs like Emmaus High School (Emmaus, Pennsylvania), Sacred Heart Greenwich (Greenwich, Connecticut), and Phillips Academy Andover (Andover, Massachusetts) maintaining their perfect records, the top tier remains highly competitive. This final stretch serves as the ultimate tune-up for the country's elite teams before they shift their focus entirely to the upcoming postseason.

While many teams are finalizing their regular season schedules, some states have already shifted into postseason mode. Fans can track tournament progress and follow brackets across the country via the 2026 Postseason Central. Congratulations to the nation's first crowned champions: Arrowhead Union High School (Hartland, Wisconsin), who captured the WHSFHA State Championship title in Wisconsin.

In addition to tournament brackets, postseason conference and state accolades will be compiled at the High School Awards Central. To submit any missing postseason tournament brackets or awards, please email the details to admin@maxfieldhockey.com.

The MAX Field Hockey Postseason Player & Coach Award Nomination Forms are also now live. The deadline to submit nominations is Tuesday, November 24th, and nominators are asked to wait until the conclusion of an athlete's season before submitting their form.
