The 2025 MAX Field Hockey/Longstreth High School National Invitational is in the books! What an incredible weekend of hockey that featured 19 of the nation’s Top 25 teams. #1 Academy of Notre Dame de Namur (Villanova, Pennsylvania) and #2 Villa Maria Academy (Malvern, Pennsylvania) continue to storm through top opponents, outscoring their 4 match-ups by a combined 22 goals for and 4 against. An impressive stat – 3 of those teams were ranked in the Top 10 in the nation! The two teams met last week following the invitational with Academy of Notre Dame de Namur earning a 4-2 win and maintaining their top spot in the nation. #5 Oak Knoll School (Summit, New Jersey) knocked off two Top 10 opponents in Warwick High School (Lititz, Pennsylvania) and The Kinkaid School (Houston, Texas) at the invitational and then went on to beat two more Top 10 opponents last week in The Hill School (Pottstown, Pennsylvania) and Camden Catholic High School (Cherry Hill, New Jersey). The now top squad in the West/Mid-West, New Trier High School (Winnetka, Illinois) also had a great showing at the invitational, registering 3 wins, including a 3-2 win over The Hill School.
