WEST/MIDWEST REGION & NATIONAL COACH OF THE YEAR
ELEANOR MITCHELL
Sacred Heart Academy
Louisville, Kentucky

Mitchell led Sacred Heart Academy to the first undefeated state championship in the state of Kentucky since the KHSAA started sponsoring field hockey in 2014. The Valkyries were absolutely dominant in Kentucky state play- winning the Apple Preseason Tournament, and beating defending state champs and rivals Assumption High School 3 times throughout the season, outscoring them 14-3. The Valkyries played 11 out-of-state games, starting with a trip out east to the MAX Field Hockey High School National Invitational where they finished 3-0, registering victories over 2024 AAA State Champions Conestoga High School (PA), Mount Saint Joseph Academy (PA), and eventual New Jersey Group 3 State Champions Clearview Regional High School. They faced the top 4 teams in Illinois throughout the season, including eventual State Champions and #8 ranked New Trier High School, who they beat 3-2. Their lone tie of the season was to #10 ranked and Illinois state finalist Glenbrook North High School (IL). They also defeated 3 of Missouri’s top teams and outscored them 12-6. Finishing 27-0-1, as the top squad in the West/Mid-West Region and the #6 ranked team in the nation (their highest ever finish), the 2025 KHSAA State Championship was the program’s 13th overall title, 5th since the KHSAA started sponsoring the sport. Mitchell also reached her 200th career win this season and was recognized as the KHSAA Field Hockey Coach of the Year.
NEW ENGLAND REGION COACH OF THE YEAR
KELLY ROSBOROUGH
Uxbridge High School
Uxbridge, Massachusetts

Rosborough led her alma mater Uxbridge to their 5th straight State Championship in 2025, becoming only the second program in MIAA history to achieve such a streak. Since taking over the program in 2014, she has turned the Spartans into one of the dominant programs in the state of Massachusetts. Winning their first state title in 2021 and the next 3 at Division 4, before bumping up to Division 3 this Fall and securing that state title with a 3-0 win over Sandwich High School in the final. Uxbridge finished the season with a perfect record of 23-0, as the #2 ranked team in the New England Region and the #21 ranked team in the nation. They outscored opponents 156-8, including impressive victories over the Division 1 State Champions and powerhouse Walpole High School, who they beat 6-1, and the Division 2 State Champions Somerset Berkley Regional High School, who they beat 8-1. In November, Rosborough reached her 200th career coaching win.
NORTHEAST REGION COACH OF THE YEAR
NICOLE HUSTON
Whitney Point Central High School
Whitney Point, New York

Huston led Whitney Point to their 5th straight New York State Class C State Championship in 2025, finishing the season with a perfect 20-0-1 record and as the #4 ranked team in the Northeast Region. The Golden Eagles claimed the program’s 10th state championship in the last 11 years under Huston’s leadership with a 3-2 overtime victory over Rondout Valley High School. They were absolutely dominant in New York State play, and outscored opponents 138-9 throughout the season, with only 4 of those goals being to New York teams. During the regular season, they knocked off eventual Class A State Champions Windsor Central High School 2-1, as well as Class B State finalist Vestal High School 5-0. They beat the Pennsylvania District 2 A Champions Lake-Lehman High School 7-2 at the MAX Field Hockey High School National Invitational, and registered a 3-3 overtime tie to New Jersey’s #16 ranked team Cherokee High School (NJ).
PENNSYLVANIA REGION COACH OF THE YEAR
KENT HARSHMAN
Palmyra Area High School
Palmyra, Pennsylvania

In his 8th season as Head Coach (26th overall with the program), Harshman led Palmyra to the Mid-Penn Keystone Division Championship, AA District 3 Championship, and the PIAA AA State Championship in 2025. It was the program’s 16th district title and 4th state title, the first since 2005. Palmyra finished the season 23-3, as the #8 ranked team in Pennsylvania and the #17 ranked team in the nation. The Cougars went on a tear in the postseason, outscoring opponents 37-3 in their district and state games. After losing in the state final game in 2022 & 2023 and being knocked out by Warwick in the state semifinal in 2024, they defeated the defending state champions Warwick 5-0 in the district final and 3-2 in the state final to claim the 2025 titles.
NEW JERSEY REGION COACH OF THE YEAR
ALI GOOD
Oak Knoll School
Summit, New Jersey

Good led Oak Knoll to another New Jersey Non-Public State Championship this Fall, claiming the program’s second title in a row and 14th overall. The Royals were dominant in New Jersey state play, outscoring in-state opponents 57-8, completing their season with 6 consecutive shutouts, including a 5-0 win over #25 Camden Catholic High School to claim the state title. Oak Knoll finished 22-1 after completing one of the toughest schedules in the country, registering victories over #23 ranked and SPC Champions The Kinkaid School (Texas), #11 ranked The Hill School, #25 ranked Camden Catholic 3 times, Group 2 State Champions and #12 ranked West Essex, and Group 4 State Champions Kingsway Regional High School. Their lone loss was an early season 2-3 battle against PIAA AAA State Champions and #3 ranked Emmaus High School. Good’s squad finished as the #1 team in New Jersey and the #5 ranked team in the nation and she now holds 450+ career wins and a career winning percentage over .900.
MID-ATLANTIC REGION COACH OF THE YEAR
LOVEITA MOFFETT
Smyrna High School
Smyrna, Delaware

Moffett led Smyrna to the 2025 DIAA Division 1 State Championship, defeating rival and defending state champions Cape Henlopen 1-0 in double overtime to claim the program’s second state title, outscoring opponents in state tournament play 17-0. It was a rematch of last year’s state final they lost 1-2 and the 2023 final they lost 0-1. The Eagles finished the season as the #4 ranked team in the Mid-Atlantic Region with a final record of 18-1 with their lone loss coming to the #2 ranked team in the nation The Episcopal Academy (PA) by a score of 1-2. Through her 5 seasons at the helm, Moffett has now led Smyrna to 2 state championships, and 3 state finals.
