MAX Field Hockey is excited to release the Final High School Regional Top 20 and National Top 25 Rankings for the 2025 High School season! Congratulations to all of the selected teams, including the #1 Ranked “National Champions” Academy of Notre Dame de Namur (Villanova, Pennsylvania). The Irish clinched the PAISAA and Inter-AC titles with a 21-1 finish, outscoring opponents 133-18, including 10 Top 25 victories. The Inter-AC title was their fourth straight (they have not lost a league game in 4 years). Their lone loss of the season was to the 2024 National Champions The Hill School (Pottstown, Pennsylvania) 0-1 back on October 1st. The Irish would go on to avenge that loss in the PAISAA semi-finals with a 3-0 win, which was also a rematch of last year’s PAISAA final they fell in 1-5. Top 10 junior UNC commit Maeve McGinley scored the game-winner in the final minutes of the 2025 PAISAA Championship to defeat The Episcopal Academy 1-0 and claim their 2nd title in the last 3 years.
2026 MAX FIELD HOCKEY/LONGSTRETH HIGH SCHOOL NATIONAL INVITATIONAL
September 18-20, 2026 @ The Proving Grounds
The 2026 MAX Field Hockey/Longstreth High School National Invitational is scheduled for September 18-20, 2026 at The Proving Grounds in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. Teams finishing in the Final 2025 MAX Field Hockey’s Team Ranking (Regional and/or National) are automatically invited to the 2026 National Invitational. “Others Considered” teams will need to submit an application. We are encouraging additional interested teams to submit an application and we will evaluate those as they come in. We will look at overall program strength, 2025 performance, and expected team strength in 2026.
Due to the incredible interest in this event from teams across the nation and to ensure that we are able to make the schedule work, maintain the highest level of competition, and maintain our PIAA and NFHS sanctioning for the event, teams that earned an automatic invitation must register by March 1st to secure their spot. Teams that automatically earned a spot, but do not register by March 1st may still be able to get a spot, but there is no guarantee and the longer you wait, the less likely that is as we fill in teams from the application process.
