2018 Accomplishments: Illinois State Champions, Gateway Tournament Pool Champions
2018 Notables: 2 losses of the season were in overtime, including a 3-4 OT loss to Sacred Heart Academy from Kentucky (National Ranking #8, West/Mid-West Region #1), Defeated Lake Forest (West/Mid-West Region #8) 3 times, including a 3-0 win in the state final, defeated DuPont Manual from KY (West/Mid-West Region #9) 3-0, defeated Cor Jesu Academy from Missouri (West/Mid-West Region “Others Considered”) 3-2.
2019 Outlook: The Trevians return 15 players next Fall, including 7 starters from this past season. Among those returners are First Team All-Region player and University of Michigan commit Kate McLaughlin (2020 Forward, 24 goals/10 assists in 2018) and Second Team All-Region player Amy Griffin (2020 Midfield). More talent will be added to the lineup and the Trevians look to once again be a talented and athletic group ready to defend their state title.
Over the next couple of months MAX Field Hockey will be releasing special features on teams that will be competing in the MAX Field Hockey High School National Invitational at The Proving Grounds, September 20-22, 2019. We are still accepting registrations for teams automatically qualified and applications for additional teams interested in participating!
