JANUARY 18-20, 2019 | SANFORD, FL

The NFHCA Winter Escape kicks off Friday morning at the Boombah Sports Complex in Sanford, Florida!  80 teams (plus individuals competing on House Teams) from 18 different states will compete for three days in an open style tournament comprised of athletes from the classes of 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.  The big draw of the event– the college coaches!

Winter Escape was created by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) and its member college coaches to streamline the recruiting process and make it more effective and affordable for both the college coach and the prospective student-athlete.  With the event being held in conjunction with the 2019 NFHCA Annual Convention, hundreds of Division I, II, and III college coaches will already be in town ready to recruit.  For those not in town- videos of every game on every field will be available for them to view online.

We firmly believe that there is a place for every field hockey player and Winter Escape provides the opportunity for athletes to showcase their skills to coaches across all divisions.  The energy generated at the NFHCA Annual Convention carries over to Winter Escape, where college coaches and players are treated to a top-notch recruiting experience. Winter Escape provides an excellent venue for athletes participating on a house team as well as those participating with their club team.

NFHCA UNCOMMITTED SHOWCASE

FRIDAY, JANUARY 18, 2019 | 9:00 AM

This year, the NFHCA Uncommitted Showcase will provide athletes from the classes of 2019 and 2020, who have not verbally committed to a college or university, with an additional opportunity to compete in front of hundreds of college coaches. The Uncommitted Showcase is made up of individuals who have been nominated by their club coach and selected to participate.

Each participating club team was eligible to nominate up to four (4) players graduating in 2019 or 2020 to play in the Uncommitted Showcase for each team they have registered (i.e., If Team XYZ has three registered teams, then they would have a total of 12 nominations as a club to use how they wish).  House Team players could be nominated by their club or high school coach.
