Lakeland and Shenendehowa come in at the top spots in this week’s Northeast Region Rankings. Both New York state squads sit at a perfect 14-0. The top Connecticut squads have been knocking each other off left and right over the last two weeks. Private school Greenwich Academy claims the top CT spot with a bump up to #5 as they sit at a perfect 9-0. Despite suffering a loss to Norwalk last week 1-2, Darien holds onto the top CT public school spot at #7 due to their quality wins and strength of schedule. Greenwich High School sits right behind them at #8 and Norwalk gets a huge bump up to the #9 spot from #20 after knocking off Darien and Staples last week.
Williamsville North High School (Buffalo, NY) is the lone newcomer to this week’s Top 20. They came onto our radar late and enter the rankings at #20 with a perfect 16-0 record. We will be watching them closely as they make their way through playoffs.
