2017 Week #2 Rankings – Northeast Region

The top 5 in our Week #2 Northeast Region Top 20 stay the same as each team continues to win out and stay unbeaten.  Lakeland (Shrub Oak, NY) move to 6-0 after registering a convincing 3-0 win over then #16-ranked Wilton (Wilton, CT), two days after Head Coach Sharon Sarsen captured her 600th career win.  New York State Preseason Player of the Year and senior captain Kelsey McCrudden (UAlbany commit) leads the charge on offense, contributing 10 goals and 6 assists through the Hornets first 6 games.

Newcomers to this week’s Top 20 include Greenwich High School (Greenwich, CT), who knocked off then-ranked #6 Staples 4-1 last week, and Horace Greeley (Chappaqua, NY), a team that is competing well in the Hudson Valley area and played #4 Mamaroneck to a 0-1 game and then beat then #17-ranked Scarsdale 3-1.  Cold Spring Harbor (Cold Spring Harbor, NY) get the bump up from the Others Considered to the #14 spot after playing #5 Garden City to a 0-1 game.
