Top Athletes Compete in Under Armour Select Game

Each summer College Connection hosts premier Field Hockey Showcases focused on providing athletes with the principles, foundation and tools necessary to play field hockey at the collegiate level- a truly complete recruiting experience.  2017 Showcases were hosted at UMass Amherst, the Sportport in St. Louis, Missouri, and at West Chester University (PA).  Hundreds of athletes participate in these showcases each year.

For the second year in a row, College Connection also hosted The Under Armour Select Game in which the top athletes in each graduating class from each of the showcases was invited (via a “Golden Ticket”) to highlight their talent in front of college coaches at the end of the summer.  The 2017 Under Armour Select Game was held July 27th at Boston College’s beautiful water-based Field Hockey turf.  A total of 63 athletes from 16 different states (including CA, TX, IL & MO!) played in front of 30+ college coaches in this years games.

Game #1 featured the 2020s and 2021s and Game #2 featured the 2018s and 2019s.  Each game was comprised of three 30 minute periods followed by a Goalie Showcase.  Rainy weather didn’t get in the way of all that is the experience of The Under Armour Select Game.  From the complete Under Armour uniforms each player was fitted in, to the game day fuel provided by Gatorade, College Connection didn’t leave any detail out.

Upon the conclusion of each game, an Awards Ceremony was held in which the Players of the Match were recognized.  McKenna Webster (2020, Saint Louis, MO) and Carly Hynd (2021, Paoli, PA) were selected as Players of the Match for Game #1.

Emily Farrell (2019, Wyoming, PA) and Kaitlyn Stulen (2018, Houston, TX) were selected as Players of the Match for Game #2.
