Why did you choose this school?: I was looking for a good balance between academics and field hockey, which was difficult to find with a nursing major. At Alvernia, I can give 100% to both my academics and athletics. From the first time I stepped on the campus I knew Alvernia was the right place for me. The campus is so beautiful and the class sizes are small and more individualized. Alvernia’s academic programs are outstanding, the athletic facilities are amazing, and the players and coaches are welcoming, friendly, and create a positive and supportive environment to play the sport that I love. It is also close to home, so my family can easily come to watch me play. Alvernia was the only school that had everything I was looking for.
