Morgan Klotzbach

Hi, my name is Morgan Klotzbach and I’m a 2028 forward/Midfielder from Phoenixville Area High School (Phoenixville, PA) and I also play for X-Calibur Field Hockey Club. My parents and my grandmother have really influenced the person I am today. They got me into field hockey when I was young by signing me up for a youth league in my town and I’ve loved the sport ever since.

For 10 years, I raced cars competitively on a local, regional, and national level and learned that I have an immense competitive side, am driven, work incredibly hard, and have a motor that never quits. I learned how to race by watching tons of film. I was able to translate all of these qualities onto the pitch and I believe it has made me a stronger player and a student of the game. I feel that I am very coachable because I work hard to keep improving and want to continue learning at every practice and game. I feel that my best qualities are my hustle and grit, and I use those every day to achieve my goals.

I take school seriously as well. My goal is to succeed in high school and then attend college, where I hope to earn a degree in business while continuing my athletic career. I’m looking for a college where I can grow both academically and athletically. I'd love to find a place where I fit and that fits me. I feel that when there is a strong bond among teammates off the field, this bond makes for better play on the field. A team like that would be ideal for me I'd love to be part of this kind of sisterhood.

I wear uniform number 82 for Club and 10 for School and typically play midfield and forward. I've played ACM and am currently learning the Defensive Center Mid position as well. I think being a versatile player is a huge asset of my game and love learning to play new positions.
