Why did you choose this school?: I chose UNC because of it’s all around excellence in academics and athletics.
Who would you like to thank?: First, I would like to thank my parents for their unconditional love and support of my passion for field hockey. Thank you for the countless hours driving to practices and tournaments, standing on sidelines, and pushing me to achieve my very best, both in school and on the fields. I would like to thank my Harriton Field Hockey coaches: Kirsten Taylor, Jessica Hoh and Alli Grady, as well as my former club coaches Guy Cathro and Jaja Kentwell. I would also like to thank my lacrosse coaches: Josie Ferri Tomaino and George Dick. You both have encouraged me to be the best player and teammate I could be, and to accept nothing less than excellence in my athletic endeavors. An enormous thanks to Brian Hope, Alli Lokey, Kim Underwood and the entire X-Calibur coaching staff, as well as all of my X-Calibur teammates for welcoming me in to the X-Calibur family and making me feel like I had always been a part of it. Thank you Brian for your genuine and unwavering support, coaching with integrity, and reminding me that I already had what it takes to achieve my goals. A very heartfelt thank you to Becky DuVernois – my coach, my mentor, my friend, and biggest advocate. I am so grateful our paths crossed in middle school. You have been there every step of the way and I appreciate your guidance more than you could ever know. And finally, thank you to Karen Shelton, Grant Fulton, and the entire UNC Field Hockey staff for the opportunity to continue pursuing my passion. I am honored and ecstatic to be a Tar Heel!
