Why did you choose this school?: I knew I wanted to play D1 field hockey in college on the East Coast and after meeting with the coaches and visiting Temple, I knew immediately that this was the perfect fit for me. The coaches were warm and welcoming and I could see that their plans for their program and their values were similar to my own. They are developing something special and I knew right away it’s something I wanted to be a part of. Their goals, determination, and focus appeal to me very much. The players I met from the team were kind, genuine, and dedicated to the program, and it was easy to see myself as part of their field hockey family. Temple is a good fit for me academically and I love that it’s in Philadelphia and that I get the opportunity to live in such a great city. I’m excited to experience my college years living in a part of the country that is so different than San Diego. I can’t wait!
Other Colleges Considered: Syracuse University, LaFayette College
Who would you like to thank?: First of all, I would love to thank my family. My parents have been so supportive throughout the entire process and had faith in me from the beginning. My mom helped me stay organized and focused in the recruiting process and drove all over the East Coast with me to tournaments, camps, and clinics whenever possible. My dad worked with me a lot in goal and did every bit of online research on goalkeeping he possibly could to teach me how to play and what to work on. My younger brother, Easton, came to almost every game of mine and even traveled across the country with me a few times to cheer me on. My older sister, Isabelle, was my favorite teammate/defender and always supported me both on and off the field. I’d also like to thank the coaches I met along the way who have been phenomenal– including; Coach Brian from RUSH, Coach Jason (my high school coach), Coach Rob Short with RSCA, Coach Jill from Blockstar, and all the coaches in between at the camps and clinics I attended. I learned so much from so many different people and I’m grateful for that. Thank you to Coach Ciufo and Coach Vittese for this amazing opportunity. I can’t wait to play for you as an Owl! And last, thank you to everyone who supported me in my goal to get to the next level. It all means so much to me.
